Online Blackjack Gambling Basics

The game of Online Blackjack Gambling is contested between a player and the dealer and is tracked by points, wherein the player must reach 21 or more without exceeding the number and beat the dealer’s total in order to win. If a player or dealer exceeds 21, it’s known as a “bust”. Here’s a Online Blackjack Gambling breakdown:

Dealing – Cards are dealt facedown, and the player is immediately allowed to view his or her hand.

Hitting – A hit (or “hitting”) is a signal to the dealer that you wish to take another card. A player can hit after their hand is dealt.

Standing – If a player “stands”, then he or she is satisfied with the current hand. There is a specific “standing” gesture that signifies this to the dealer in land-based casinos, whereas in online casinos it’s as simple as clicking the appropriate button.

Doubling – This refers to doubling down on a bet. Some casinos determine their own unique rules regarding doubling; however, players can typically double after their first two cards.

Splitting – You may splittwo cards of the same rank or value into two separate hands. However, you must wager the same amount on the second hand as you’ve made on the first.

Not Following the Blackjack Table Rules

If you’re playing blackjack online then you likely won’t have to worry about any strict table restrictions, as the process will be automated. Taking a seat in a live casino, however, subjects players to a bevy of rules and regulations that they may otherwise be unaware of. For example, if you’re playing a face-up blackjack you should not touch your cards, as some cheaters have been known to mark aces and other 10-valued cards once they’ve seen them.

Never handle your chips once the hand has been played, as the dealer cannot be certain that you haven’t altered your bet based on the outcome of the hand. Likewise, it’s best to keep your chips in neat and orderly stacks, as sloppy piles of chips will cause similar issues with payouts and flow of play. While most of these tips may seem to deal with etiquette more than actual rules, remember that should a dealer experience enough

Not Obeying the Casino’s Table Rules is a Mistake

Though games like poker, baccarat, and craps can be considered confusing by inexperienced players making their way to live and online casinos, blackjack gambling is widely considered easy to pick up. While most gamblers understand blackjack gambling basics (getting closer to 21 than the dealer without going over), misplaced confidence may lead to blackjack gambling mistakes. What follows is a list of the worst blackjack gambling mistakes you can make, and how to avoid them.

While most of these tips may seem to deal with etiquette more than actual rules, remember that should a dealer experience enough issues with a gambler, they may call a pit boss to escort you from the table – and possibly from the casino altogether.

Dispersing Myths about Online Blackjack Gambling

While it doesn’t take much to take part in all the action at your favorite online casino, mastering a particular game can be a complicated and involved process. As such, people without the patience to work through the difficult or otherwise confusing parts of game theory will often create myths, legends, and tricks which help to rationalize things they don’t understand. The fact is that many of the myths surrounding these games of chance reflect a simplified opinion from an uninformed source – that is to say, in most cases these ideas just don’t work. Though most casino games have amassed a healthy amount of false rumors over the years, today we’ll be doing our best to bust some of the most common blackjack Gambling myths, which have sent many a player down the wrong path.

As a game that moves progressively from the dealer’s left to right, many players have developed the opinion that the final seat on the table, known colloquially as “third base,” is the worst position from which to play. This myth arises from the fact that this player sits just before the dealer, so what cards they do or do not take directly affect what the dealer would have drawn. As such, players in this position are often treated as something of a pariah among more superstitious gamblers. Though it is true that this person’s decision will directly affect the draw of the dealer, it is just as likely that their play will cause the dealer to bust as it is for them to win. As with most card games, it all comes down to the luck of the draw, and nothing a player in any position will do, short of cheating, will change that.

Blackjack Gambling Outcomes

After a blackjack gambler finishes to draw cards (it’s also called stands with a hand) and after the blackjack Dealer completes his hand, the player’s and the Dealer’s hands are compared. Win at blackjack is counted as follows: the winning hand is a hand that collects the greatest total. If a hand has Blackjack, it beats any hand including a regular 21. In case the hand total is greater than 21, such hand busts.

A regular winning hand pays out 1 to 1. If you place $10 and beat the dealer, you will be returned your bet and the win of $10, $20 in total.
Blackjack pays out 3 to 2. If you place $10 and have Blackjack, you will be returned your bet and the win of 15$, 25$ in total.
Insurance bet pays out 2 to 1. With an initial bet of $10, your insurance bet will be $5. In case the Dealer has Blackjack, you will be returned your bet and the win of $10, $15 in total.
In case of tie hands, you are returned your original bet.

Four blackjack gambling myths busted

One of the best parts of blackjack gambling is the camaraderie at the table.

Blackjack is a very social gambling game filled with a lot of small talk between both gamblers and dealers. Many blackjack gamblers think they know everything about the game. Unfortunately, they often don’t know the facts.

They know the myths other people tell at a blackjack table and not the math behind the game. If you watch the dealer while these people are talking you’ll see them smirk a little when gamblers are talking nonsense. Here are some of the biggest myths and untruths you’ll hear at the blackjack table.

The dealer always has a 10 in the hole
First of all, this isn’t possible. Mathematically it’s not even close to being possible as only only about 30% of the deck have a value of 10. Mathematically, the odds the dealer doesn’t have a 10 in the hole are actually better.

Bad gamblers hurt your chances of winning
In the short term the person who gambles before you may have an effect on the cards you receive but in the long term this all evens out. We just remember the bad scenarios more than the good ones. This is much more psychological than mathematical. I have to remind myself about this because it’s easy to get caught up in the moment.

Avoid choosing the last position at the table
This rolls into the previous myth that a person’s incorrect gamble will always affect the next person’s cards. In this case it’s the dealer and third base holds the power of the entire table in their hands. Again, over time this all evens out. If you’re a novice blackjack gambler you may want to gamble in the middle of the table to avoid the ridicule of gamblers who don’t know any better.

Card counting is illegal
Like Alan in “The Hangover” says “Card counting is not illegal, it’s just frowned upon.” Casinos don’t like card counters and will ask you not to gamble if they see you counting cards. Casinos have the right to stop taking your bets and when you gamble with the advantage they will always stop you. Casinos weren’t built with gamblers having an edge.

Double Exposure Blackjack Gambling

Double Exposure Blackjack is played with a 8 standard decks of 52 cards that are shuffled before each game.

As with all online blackjack, the aim of Double Exposure blackjack is to beat the online blackjack Dealer’s hand by either getting a higher value hand, without exceeding 21, or by the Dealer’s hand going bust. Blackjack is when your hand contains an Ace and a card with a value of ten. It is the strongest hand in Double Exposure Blackjack, and automatically stands. It cannot be beaten.

The key rules in Double Exposure Blackjack Gambling are:
It is played with eight standard decks of 52 playing cards
Both the online blackjack dealer’s cards are dealt face up
10 value cards can be split
There is no Insurance available

In Double Exposure Blackjack Gambling players can also double down if the value of your first two online blackjack cards is 9, 10 or 11. The double down blackjack bet is equal to your original bet amount.

If you have a winning hand in Double Exposure Blackjack, you are paid out at odds of 1 to 1 on your original online blackjack bet. For example, if you bet £10 on your blackjack game (or currency equivalent) and win, you win £10 (or currency equivalent) plus your original bet amount. So, your total win amount is £10 + £10 = £20 (or currency equivalent).
