Latest French Online Casino Regulations Still Have Problems

France is pushing its revised rules for online casino gambling and Internet gambling through the parliament, but analysts say EU violations from the original proposition have not been fixed.
France’s National Assembly approved the country’s suggested rules regulating online casino gambling and Internet online  yesterday, but gaming industry delegates say EU grievances have not been addressed by the revised rules. The European Commission answered France’s original proposal in June with a list of modifications required to bring the law into obedience with EU policy.
A number of points of dispute were recognized in the EC report, containing provisions basically obliging online casino entrepreneurs to have a physical and financial attendance recognized  in France. While alterations were made, new corrections appear designed to block other foreign contenders.
In the new rules put in,in the online casino  bill is a statement that French permitting will not be available to operators located in tax harbors This would contain such major companies as PartyGaming, Ladbrokes, and BWIN, all of which have founded bases in Gibraltar to avoid oppressive taxes.
Lottery operators, locked into basing in countries which tax them heavily, cheered the French move.
However, delegates of the European Gaming and Betting Association said the old matters have not been rectified, while new regulations have added to the excessive restraints against EU-licensed online gambling rivalry.
The French Senate gets the bill next, while the EC must decide whether to engage in violation penalties if the French do not as well adapt their rules.
